1. Website terms and relationship to project agreements
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern use of www.novocleaningnc.com and describe general procedures for requesting and performing services from NovoCleaning LLC ("NovoCleaning," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this site, visitors agree to the website-use provisions to the extent enforceable under applicable law. A request for an estimate, website inquiry, or visit to this site does not by itself create a cleaning services contract or obligate anyone to pay.
Each cleaning project becomes binding only when the parties accept a written estimate, purchase order, or service agreement using an agreed method. That document should identify the contracting customer, property, scope, dates, price, and any special requirements. A specifically negotiated, accepted project agreement controls over these general Terms where inconsistent, subject to applicable law. A builder or contractor ordering services on behalf of an owner should confirm its authority and identify the party responsible for payment.
2. Services and scope definitions
We offer residential post-construction cleaning services in Raleigh, North Carolina, and surrounding areas, as available. A project estimate may include rough cleaning, final cleaning, touch-up cleaning, or another described service. Labels alone are not a complete scope: the accepted checklist or estimate determines the rooms, surfaces, methods, inclusions, exclusions, and number of cleaning visits.
Unless expressly included in the accepted agreement, services such as bulk debris hauling, demolition waste disposal, exterior high-reach window work, power washing, paint or grout restoration, repair of construction defects, appliance disassembly, hazardous-material remediation, and repeat visits are not automatically included. The approved scope, rather than general website descriptions or photographs, determines what is purchased.
3. Estimates, site information, and written change orders
Quotes may reflect available square footage, requested cleaning phase, soil and dust levels, access, debris, deadlines, surface types, and site readiness. The customer should provide accurate information, including unusual conditions or required site procedures. If the actual conditions differ materially from those disclosed, we will describe the proposed adjustment and seek written authorization before performing chargeable extra work. No additional charge is owed for an unapproved change except where a binding agreement or applicable law provides otherwise.
Quote expiration, unit prices, travel charges, minimum charges, taxes, and approved materials or equipment fees must be stated in the project-specific estimate or invoice, if applicable. An estimate is not a guarantee of uninterrupted site availability or of completion by a fixed time unless the parties expressly agree to that commitment.
4. Customer authority and property access
The person booking services must have authority to request work at the property and provide lawful access. The customer or designated site representative is responsible for communicating entry procedures, alarm and gate instructions through an appropriate channel, parking and unloading restrictions, permitted work hours, and any required site orientation. Access credentials should be supplied securely and changed after the job when appropriate.
If workers cannot enter safely at the scheduled time, we will contact the customer to determine whether to reschedule. Any stand-by, return-trip, or cancellation charge applies only if disclosed and accepted in the project agreement and permitted by law.
5. Site readiness, utilities, and coordination with trades
The customer or general contractor should coordinate the work area so that it is safely accessible, with necessary water, electrical power, lighting, usable facilities where agreed, and reasonable ventilation as applicable. Active construction, wet coatings, unsecured materials, exposed wiring, missing guards, blocked exits, or other unsafe conditions may require a revised sequence or postponement. We may pause work when safety or access issues arise and promptly communicate the issue.
Trades continuing work after a cleaned area is completed may create additional dust, adhesive residue, or debris. Re-cleaning caused by later trade activity, unauthorized entry, or a newly changed scope is a separate service unless the accepted agreement includes it. Timing, walkthrough, and area handoff should be coordinated in writing.
6. Safety, hazardous materials, and surface protection
Customers and site managers should disclose known hazards such as suspected asbestos or lead-containing materials, uncontrolled silica dust, mold requiring remediation, biological waste, sharps, chemical spills, and unsafe structural or electrical conditions. Specialized testing, abatement, remediation, and regulated waste handling are not included unless separately agreed with appropriately qualified personnel. We may stop affected work pending assessment or remediation.
Cleaning methods and employee protections must comply with applicable safety requirements, including construction-site dust controls. We do not agree to perform an unsafe method merely because a customer requests it. Customers should disclose delicate or unsealed surfaces, newly applied finishes, manufacturer instructions, and restricted cleaning chemicals before work begins; any special method should be documented in the accepted scope.
7. Scheduling and changes
Appointments are subject to availability and coordination with construction milestones. Either party should provide timely written notice of requested schedule changes. We will communicate any material delay or inability to perform and work with the customer on available alternatives. Deposits, cancellation fees, rescheduling charges, and refunds are determined by the separately accepted service agreement and applicable law, not assumed from this webpage.
8. Consumer cancellation rights
Nothing in these Terms waives non-waivable cancellation, refund, or notice rights. Certain qualifying sales made at a consumer’s home or another location away from the seller’s regular place of business may provide statutory cancellation rights. When a transaction is covered, we will supply any required contract language and cancellation notices and honor a valid cancellation under applicable federal or North Carolina law. A website inquiry or a booking process does not replace legally required transaction-specific notices.
9. Deposits, invoicing, and payment
The accepted project agreement or invoice states the total price or pricing method, any advance deposit, payment milestones, due date, accepted payment methods, and applicable taxes. We will not impose an undisclosed deposit, automatic recurring charge, interest rate, collection fee, or late fee through these general Terms. Any such charge requires proper disclosure, lawful authorization, and a basis in the applicable agreement. Customers should raise billing questions promptly so we can reconcile them.
10. Work completion, walk-through, and concerns
Completion is evaluated against the agreed cleaning scope, not a promise of a permanently dust-free construction site or a guaranteed building inspection result. We encourage the customer or designated representative to inspect promptly and identify any reasonably specific missed items. We will review reported issues and discuss whether a correction falls within the original scope or is additional work. A particular inspection window, correction visit, or workmanship promise applies only if set out in the accepted agreement and consistent with law.
11. Damage reports and pre-existing conditions
Please communicate existing chips, scratches, loose fixtures, delicate coatings, unstable installations, or similar conditions before cleaning when known. Report suspected damage, missing items, or safety incidents as soon as reasonably practical and preserve any relevant evidence. We will assess the circumstances and available documentation and discuss resolution under the accepted agreement and applicable law. These Terms do not waive statutory rights or exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Photography, customer privacy, and job records
With appropriate authorization and subject to project rules, we may take limited photographs for estimating, quality assurance, progress records, completion documentation, or incident investigations. Private documentation is not permission to post images publicly. Public marketing, website-gallery, social media, or advertising use requires a separate, optional affirmative photography authorization from a person legally entitled to grant it, including any additional permissions required for the property or depicted people. Declining marketing use does not disqualify a customer from service.
We will apply the privacy protections described in our Privacy Policy. Contractors must not authorize marketing use beyond rights they actually hold. Customers and site managers should identify any no-photo zones or contractual confidentiality restrictions before work begins. Images needed for lawful claims or records may be treated separately from marketing images.
13. Confidentiality and subcontractor access
We aim to handle nonpublic site details, building plans, access instructions, client information, and documents encountered during a project with appropriate care and disclose them only where reasonably needed to perform work, administer the relationship, handle claims, or comply with law. Authorized personnel and subcontractors may receive information necessary for assigned tasks. A separate nondisclosure agreement or heightened site-security protocol will apply only if agreed in writing.
14. Customer property, valuables, and personal belongings
Please secure cash, jewelry, private records, firearms, medications, pets, and breakable or irreplaceable belongings and identify any rooms or objects that workers should not touch. We do not intentionally move, discard, or clean items outside the agreed scope. If unexpected personal property or potentially dangerous items prevent access, we may request instructions or pause that portion of the work.
15. Waste handling and environmental responsibilities
The scope must identify whether ordinary cleaning trash collection, bagging, removal from premises, dumpster access, or disposal fees are included. Hazardous or regulated wastes, unknown chemicals, medical waste, and construction debris requiring special transportation or permits are excluded unless expressly and lawfully arranged. The site owner or general contractor should provide appropriate, authorized disposal arrangements where the estimate assumes on-site disposal.
16. Weather, emergencies, and events outside reasonable control
Severe weather, power outages, inaccessible sites, emergencies, governmental restrictions, or other circumstances outside a party’s reasonable control may interfere with a scheduled visit. The parties should notify each other and cooperate to reschedule or resolve the impact under the project agreement and applicable law. This provision does not automatically excuse payment for properly completed services or override statutory cancellation rights.
17. No guaranteed outcomes beyond the written scope
Website descriptions and example project photographs illustrate services, but actual results depend on surface condition, construction activity, stains, and the agreed scope. We do not undertake restoration of defective installation, permanent stain removal, or certification of indoor air quality unless a separate written agreement expressly includes that service. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or remedy that applicable law makes non-waivable.
18. Website access and acceptable use
You may browse the site and submit genuine inquiries for lawful purposes. Do not impersonate others, submit false service requests, interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, transmit malicious material, or reuse the site in a way that infringes another person’s rights. We may limit access to protect the site, subject to applicable law.
19. Website content and intellectual property
Our original website text, design, graphics, and company branding are owned by us or used with permission, except where otherwise identified. Browsing the site does not transfer ownership or grant a commercial reuse license. Property photographs and customer-provided materials remain subject to the rights and permissions of their owners; our limited permission to display an image does not establish that NovoCleaning owns every aspect of the depicted property or third-party content.
20. Third-party services, links, and security
Our site may link to maps, social media, payment portals, and other outside services. Their separate terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services. We work to keep information on our site current, but a page may occasionally contain an error or become unavailable. Contact us to verify service details before relying on a website statement as a binding project commitment.
21. Reviews and honest feedback
Customers may share honest opinions about our services, including negative feedback, subject to applicable law. Nothing here prohibits lawful reviews, imposes a penalty for an unfavorable review, or requires transfer of rights in customer reviews. We may ask permission before reproducing a private testimonial or customer-supplied project photo in our own advertising.
22. Disputes, governing law, and legal rights
Please contact us using Section 24 with a description of a dispute, relevant invoice or project number, and supporting information so we can attempt a practical resolution. To the extent legally permitted, North Carolina law governs these Terms. This clause does not require arbitration, change a court’s jurisdiction, shorten any legal claim deadline, or waive consumer protections or rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
23. Changes and interpretation
We may revise these general website Terms and post the updated effective date. New website terms do not retroactively change a previously accepted cleaning agreement unless the parties agree in a lawful manner. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision once does not necessarily waive it in the future.
24. Contact and legal notices
